  1. k so the first day was pretty awsome besides havin to get up at 2am. we got threw logan and atlanta no problem. once we landed in port ou prince we were gretted with a band playing music that was just awsome. We all stayed together and headed outside and it was a lot less choatic then u would think it would be and found are van no problem. When we started drivin and actually seeing the city you were just aw struck by all the trash everywhere and people running around tryin to get your attetion and buy their waters or whatever they were selling. Every new thing you saw you would think it was the craziest thing you ever seen ecepiclly seeing about 15 people packed in the back of a pick up truck. Once we got threw the city into the more rural and mountainy area i was just so surpised how beautiful it all was. We all got to the orphange safly in the end of today around 830 so we got to expecince drivin threw haiti at night which was kinda scary. Today was a,mazing and i dont even know how i didnt pass out from runnimg the whole day off just a couple hoyrs of sleep. so thats it for today - emily

  2. This trip was no doubt one of the most amazing expeinces of my life. The people we meet and saw were just so beatiful in every which way. And how just when the kids see you walking into the village their faces just light up and thats what touches your heart. How the kids can bond so greatly with you with with you and we dont even speak the same language. I cant even find the words to explain how amazing all of the kids were, they just love you and you love them back. They just loved so much to just be held or played soccer with and their faces showed their joy. I feel so extreamly close to every one of the kids like ive been their forever but really its been a week. And with haiti once you look past the trash and poverty and look into the faces of the people, thats when you see the real beauty. And even as soon as we pulled out of espwa i wanted nothing more to just turn around and just go back and see the kids again. Now all ill do is hope and pray for those kids and that ill see them again someday. -emily
