  2. This is Liz:
Haiti (aka hey tee) has been pretty exciting so far! Tuesday we just ate and went to bed. Yesterday was fun because we got to meet some of the kids. We went to the boys village and played slaps(the hand game). I'm pretty good if I do say so myself-just kidding they win every time! Then we went to the girls village and it's so cute that's where the little little kids live too. They love my Red Sox hat-so they're basically Red Sox fans! One little girl came and sat on my lap and immediately feel asleep. It was so cute!! They all just want it held and hugged! We painted nails and made bracelets with the girls. One of the little boys-only about 2 years old thought it was soo funny when I shared him how I play the drums with on the ground. One of the coolest things I've seen and learned already is how they excitement and pure joy through the people around then and the little things that bring them joy. Seeing the girls' reactions as we walk over to their village is probably the greatest thing ever. They run with their arms wide open to greet you and to hug you and to allow you to love them.

Today, I got to paint a house! And there were about six Haitian guys an a few of us working on the inside and outside of this building. Of course, if you're reading this and know me you know that I was singing the whole time. So me and these guys are singing justin biebs and some other songs. All the guys start singing a song in creole. There was a line I think in the chorus that kept repeating "God, you're beautiful. God, you're beautiful. God, you're beautiful." Over and over and over. My prayer for tonight (so you can join me!) is to ask God to see and realize the beautiful things in my life, in Haiti, in Charlton, in New York, everyone. To look and realize all the beautiful gifts in my life that He freely gives. Beautiful. Show me the beauty in this world, God. Right now, during this trip, I get to see His beauty in the people of Haiti. In these kids who have this beautiful desire to love and to be loved. Amen.

    JESUS IS HIS NAME!
