I have never blogged and never planned to blog... yet here I am blogging. I would also like to add that I am not the best at writing. Well anyway, today is my 3rd day here in Haiti and it is still HOT. Although the heat is brutal at times the cold showers work wonders. I have met several people thoughout the last few days. Im really looking foward to what is to come throughout the rest of the 7 day journey.
After our flight in and our long drive in, the first day was pretty much over. We ate dinner which tasted pretty good, then went to sleep. The following day we got a nice tour of everything. That afternoon there was a soccer game, Unfortunately i was too exhausted and slept through the game. That night i was able to watch the older boys play. Luckily i was not in that game because I would of been the worst on the field by far. Finally today I got to help paint which I actually enjoyed. I took a break to let some of the girls braid my hair. After lunch we filled over 100 water balloons for a water balloon fight against the little boys. It was great to see all the boys so happy aswell as getting hit and cooled off. To finish the today After this blog I get to go attempt to teach 16 little boys (that don't speak English) how to play lacrosse... Wish me luck! Matthew Wilson
